Meta Platforms has contracted approximately 1.6 gigawatts of artificial intelligence computing capacity from data center developer Crusoe.
Bloomberg first reported the agreements, citing people familiar with the private discussions.
The capacity supports Meta’s AI infrastructure expansion across two US sites.
The agreements were reported on June 18, 2026, with no disclosed delivery timeline.
Sites And Capacity Under Contract
The capacity spans two Crusoe-developed data centers.
Reports place the facilities in Childress, Texas, and Warrenton, Missouri.
The two sites deliver roughly 1.6 gigawatts combined.
One gigawatt supplies electricity to approximately 750,000 US homes.
Meta is under contract to buy computing capacity from both facilities.
Neither Meta nor Crusoe confirmed the agreements on the record, and the financial value of the contracts was not disclosed.
Crusoe’s Contracted Position
Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company founded in 2018.
The company reported 4.9 gigawatts of contracted AI infrastructure capacity earlier in June, across data center projects and its Crusoe Cloud platform.
Its total development pipeline exceeds 40 gigawatts.
The contracted portfolio spans five US campuses.
Existing relationships include Oracle, OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google.
The Abilene Anchor And Wider Pipeline
Crusoe’s flagship project is a 1.2 gigawatt campus in Abilene, Texas, purpose-built for Oracle and leased to OpenAI on land owned by Lancium.
Crusoe, Blue Owl Capital, and Primary Digital Infrastructure entered the second phase of a $15 billion joint venture to fund that campus.
Crusoe recently broke ground on a second 900 megawatt Abilene campus contracted to Microsoft.
The company is also contracted to build additional large-scale campuses in Texas and Missouri.
Recent Pipeline Movement
Crusoe raised $1.37 billion in a Series E round co-led by Valor Equity Partners and Mubadala Capital, lifting its valuation above $10 billion.
The company recently exited a planned Wyoming data center project after earlier talks with Google did not proceed.
Meta was previously reported to be in discussions for capacity at the Abilene site later contracted to Microsoft.
The Crusoe agreements deepen Meta’s contracted compute position as the company executes against a stated AI infrastructure commitment that reaches up to $600 billion through 2028.
